I know most of you don’t know me too well, and/or will be unable to attend my wedding.
I also know that most of you are relatively financially poor.
So, as a result, I have devised a way to have everyone be able to provide something that will help me in the future to keep me any my future husband warm without there being too high of a cost.
I am making a picturesque queen or king size quilt of a cherry tree over a river bank, and I would like your help.
To participate in this, I humbly request that you purchase at least 1/8th of a yard of fabric, 1/4 of a yard being even better. While I would prefer a basic print on it, that doesn’t matter as much, so it can be a solid, just as long as no licensed fabrics are used.
I would also prefer a cotton over other types of fabric, but for certain reasons, I am willing to take brocades, and other silk-like fabrics to make lanterns from.
And fusible interfacing will be used for the lanterns, so if you can only afford that I understand.
The colours don’t matter so much, as the scene requires all colours of the spectrum, but I can say that I will need plenty of pinks, blues, reds, greens and browns.
Everyone who provides fabric will have their name sewn into the dedication patch on the back of the quilt, or their name quilted onto the quilt face as per their request.
I will be sewing the entire quilt by hand, and am looking forward to working on it.

Remember, the quilt needs to be pretty huge, so I will need a lot of fabric for it.
(I will also take old scrap fabrics from old projects, as long as they are clean)
I will send you my mailing address and do not need yours in return, unless you wish to share.
If you are going to run in to me in person, I will also accept the fabrics at those encounters.

My deadline for the quilt is the day of my wedding, which as of yet has no set date.
